L

Love & Spirituality

I show clients how health goes beyond their physical body by harnessing the power of mindfulness and connecting to our higher selves.

I

My goal is to show clients how to develop and trust their intuition so they can better advocate for their own physical and mental health.

G

Growth

When clients work with me, they will learn to embrace the beauty of positive change and achieve growth they never thought possible.

N

Nutrition

I simplify nutrition for my clients and we co-create strategies to adopt and stick with healthy eating for optimal health.

Frequently Asked Questions

“Functional medicine is a systems biology–based approach that focuses on identifying and addressing the root cause of disease. Each symptom or differential diagnosis may be one of many contributing to an individual’s illness.” – Institute of Functional Medicine

The main difference between a functional medicine practitioner and a functional medicine health coach is that a practitioner can order tests, prescribe medicinals, and diagnose illnesses, while a coach cannot. Medicinals include but are not limited to food plans, supplements, and hormonal therapies.

However, a coach can provide valuable educational information, motivation, and support to help people make changes in their lifestyle that will improve their health.

Additionally, coaches have time week-to-week to really hear the client’s story, listen to the client’s needs, and support the client through the many feelings and emotions in implementing the therapies prescribed by their functional medicine practitioners and primary care team.

Functional medicine practitioners and coaches can work together to help people achieve their health goals. Coaches can provide support and guidance, while practitioners can provide the necessary medical advice. This combination can be very effective in helping people achieve their health goals.

No, you do not need to work with a functional medicine practitioner in order to work with a functional medicine health coach.

Functional medicine health coaches can help clients identify lifestyle changes that may improve their overall health and wellbeing, such as dietary modifications, exercise regimens, sleep hygiene, and stress management techniques. We often collaborate closely with the client’s additional practitioners such as nutritionists, physical therapists, chiropractors, or acupuncturists in order to coordinate care for the client’s best outcome
